Community Alert

The 154th Street Improvement Project is scheduled to begin on July 8, 2024, with an anticipated completion date in November 2024. This project involves the complete reconstruction of 154th Street from Wood Street to Broadway and will result in FULL STREET CLOSURE for both motorists and pedestrians.
While we understand that this part of the project will cause inconvenience for both residents and businesses, the final result will benefit all. Once completed you can expect to see new curbs, freshly laid gutters, an end to potholes and improved infrastructure.
We ask that you begin planning alternate routes. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and cooperation throughout this improvement process as we work to move the City of Harvey forward.

PLEASE NOTE:

During reconstruction, 153rd Street will become a two (2) way street going both east and west between Wood Street and Broadway Avenue.  Center Avenue, Turlington Avenue, Lexington Avenue, Loomis Avenue, Myrtle Avenue, Vine Avenue, Ashland Avenue, Marshfield Avenue, Paulina Street, and Page Avenue will become two (2) way streets going both north and south.
