Starting June 1, the City of Harvey will be adjusting water rates in response to an increase from the City of Chicago, our water supplier.
We know increases can be challenging but we want to be transparent about the upcoming change. Beginning
June 1, water rates will increase by 4% to $36.51 per 1,000 cubic feet (or approximately $4.89 per 1,000 gallons).
We understand that no one likes to see costs go up, but this adjustment is necessary because Chicago has increased the cost of the water that we purchase to provide reliable water service. We want to assure you that we remain committed to managing City resources responsibly.
